Deposit Insurance
At Pilgrim Bank your deposits are insured in full. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)insures your Savings, NOW Checking, Money Market Deposit accounts, IRA's and Certificates of Deposit up to $250,000 until December 31, 2009, when it will revert to $100,000. ("Self Directed" IRA's will continue to be covered up to $250,000.) Non-interest bearing checking accounts will be fully insured up to the entire balance, without any limit, until December 31, 2009. The Share Insurance Fund of Massachusetts (SIF) insures deposits above that level. There are no maximum account limitations or amount limitations.
