Pilgrim Bank – Year End Review
Francis E. Campbell, President and CEO of Pilgrim Bank, would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for a successful 2008.
Pilgrim Bank, a true community bank headquartered in Cohasset with a new branch office in Marion, caters to residential and commercial customers throughout the South Shore, offering a complete range of deposit and lending products. As a community bank, we also believe in giving back to our community through sponsorships of local sports teams, the Cohasset Holiday Concert broadcast locally, participating in the Village Stroll, and donations to the Cohasset, Marion and Scituate food pantries.
A number of our employees volunteer throughout the year for Cohasset Elders Affairs as luncheon assistants. We sponsor teams in both the Cohasset and Marion Relays for Life, raising nearly $10,000. We also partnered in events with the George Mealy Post, Citizen of the Year, Sippican Lands Trust, Cohasset Chamber of Commerce, and several other local school and civic groups as volunteers and through sponsorships.
In 2008, the Edward T. Mulvey Scholarship was created in honor of the 50 years of service to the Bank by its former CEO. The annual award will be presented to Cohasset High School Seniors.
Lastly, the Honors Art Class of Nina Berkowitz completed a project to paint a new mural on the wall of the Pilgrim Bank building in Cohasset Village. The mural depicts Government Island at Cohasset Harbor and showcases the talents of Cohasset High School students.
Pilgrim Bank is proud of its role in Cohasset’s past, serving the community since 1916, and we look forward to serving both the Cohasset and Marion communities in the future.
